The Bishop Eddie Long sexual misconduct case may be heading to trial after all.
WSB-TV reports that the parties involved in the lawsuit are no longer close to settling the case out of court. The judge presiding over the high-profile case is now saying that he is preparing for a trial in the fall. It was Easter week when the Judge Johnny Panos said the parties participated in a marathon mediation session and came close to a settlement.
As we previously reported, Bishop Eddie Long, pastor of Newbirth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, stands accused of using his power and influence to entice four young men who attended Newbirth into sexual relationships.
Long has denied the claims.
