A local cheerleader from south Fulton has found herself in the Guinness World Records after breaking the record for most consecutive back handsprings.

Westlake High School junior Mikayla Clark broke the record at her high school homecoming game after she did a total of 44 back handsprings, breaking the previous Guinness record of 36.

The 16-year-old cheer squad leader had been pursuing the goal since the beginning of football season. Clark has been cheering since the age of 4, and she is also a cheerleader for the Georgia All Stars Competition Squad.

Congrats Mikayla!
