Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer has been named the NBA’s Coach of the Year in just his second season with the Hawks. Coach Bud as he’s known to his players led the Hawks to a franchise-record 60 wins and the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

In addition to the franchise record, Budenholzer had a stretch of 35 wins in 38 games, including a 17-0 record in January and 19-game win streak. Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors came in second, while Jason Kidd of the Milwaukee Bucks placed third.

The Hawks’ next playoff game against the Brooklyn Nets will be Wednesday at 7pm on NBA-TV. The game will be at Philips Arena and Ludacris will perform at halftime, after the game and introduce the players.
