Kanye West is out of the hospital, but life has not completely returned to normal for the rapper/producer.
Sources claim Kanye, 39, is currently staying in a rental property away from his family for the time being while he continues outpatient treatment. His wife Kim Kardashian-West never left her husband’s side while he received treatment at UCLA’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital after he’d been admitted for exhaustion and depression.
Insiders close to the couple revealed that while “Kim is being very protective and doesn’t want Kanye around the kids right now,” she isn’t keeping her two children, North and Saint, from their father.
Kim’s October 2016 robbery in Paris is said to have placed a huge burden on their marriage. “It’s just been hell for them.” A source told Us Weekly “Kanye’s behavior took a huge toll on their marriage. But Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him — and help their marriage.”
Thankfully, the couple’s separate living situation didn’t stop their celebrations. Kim reportedly threw Kanye a welcome home party in conjunction with their son Saint’s first birthday following his release from the hospital. Now that’s what you call a ride or die.
