This past weekend Reec & The Hotshots took on Shawty Lo, Johnnie Cabbell and friends in a Celebrity Benefit Game. The game was a climactic finish to the 11th annual King of Hoops Basketball Tournament in which Atlanta’s own TEAM VIP, Coached by Hot 107.9 Hotshots Assistant Coach A.B. Barnes, won the championship and took home an impressive 6 foot Trophy.
The real winners where the children of the Bankhead community. Partial proceeds went to purchase school supplies for those in need. Hurricane Dave Smith (OM, Radio One) was also homered with the coveted King of Community Award Presented by PAYUSA, for his work with youth financial literacy.
The celebrity game was riddled with appearances from stars such as Stevie J, Fabo, Roscoe Dash, DJ Kut Throat, D4L, current and legendary NBA players and more. Keep listening to Hot 107.9 to catch the next Hotshots Celebrity game!
