Despite his recent nude photo scandal, a hit single about a**holes and douchebags, and a laughably absurd album cover, Kanye West has landed the headlining slot for the 84th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
This year’s line up is a bit more diverse than in previous years and includes Jimmy Fallon & The Roots, Gladys Knight, Jessica Simpson, Arlo Guthrie, Victoria Justice, Juanes, and Big Time Rush.
An NBC spokesperson said that the diversity in the show’s line-up was intentional to better mirror the estimated 53.5 million people that will see the parade in person or on NBC’s live broadcast of it.
The spokesperson went on to say that parade coordinators are ensuring that each act’s performance is “family-friendly.”
We’re hoping that Michael Jackson float from the Runaway film is incorporated somehow.
