A suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of 22-year-old Hustle Gang rapper Doe B (real name Glenn Thomas).

As we reported earlier, Doe B and Kimberle Johnson, a 22-year-old Troy University student, were shot and killed early Saturday morning at the Centennial Bar and Grill in Doe B’s hometown of Montgomery, Alabama. Six others were wounded by gunfire.

Montgomery police announced the arrest of 25-year-old Jason Quan McWilliams of Montgomery. McWilliams reportedly turned himself in to detectives late Sunday evening and was being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility. He faces two counts of capital murder.

Police said in a statement that the killing stemmed from an ongoing dispute involving Doe B and McWilliams.

Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange said the city was closing the Centennial Bar and Grill immediately. The venue, formerly known as Rose Supper Club, has experienced several shootings in the past.

“I believe it is not a matter of ‘if,’ but ‘when’ the next tragic incident occurs at this business,” Strange said in a statement. “That is unacceptable, and that is why we have ordered the business to be closed effective immediately.”
