Atlanta’s own Pill stopped by Hot 107.9 and spoke to B High about his departure from Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, plus a lot more!

“I’m independent right now,” said Pill. “I got a couple labels that have been looking at me. I’m done with Warner and I’m done with MMG. Everything is final.”

The rapper who popularized the word “ham” with his underground hit “Trap Goin’ Ham” also talked about his new mixtape, The Epidemic, breaking into acting (he appears in the upcoming film 96 Minutes) and making music that people can relate to.

“We need some more down to earth music that everyone can relate to,” said Pill. “Everybody ain’t got a Phantom. Everybody can’t afford a Porsche or a new Bentley. I’m not blowing $100,000 in the club. I can’t be fraudulent in my music.”
