Rapper T.I. rips Media for dragging Hip Hop into the Boston Bombing coverage.

Suspect #1 that was killed in the police shoot out reportedly had a deep interest in hip hop music and appears to have been connected to a hip hop website. Tamerlan Tsarnaev had an email address that is associated with the website “real-hiphop.com”

T.I. tells TMZ that he has no connection to the hip hop website that featured his picture. T.I. didn’t know his pictures were on the site and had never even heard of real-hiphop.com.

“Hip hop narrates the activity and conditions of our culture,” T.I. said. “It doesn’t create them.”

T.I. is frustrated: “Hip hop ain’t never been about hurting innocent people,” T.I. said. He feels Boston “was a horrible tragedy and my prayers go out to the families involved.”

Do you think the media is going overboard by relating the bomber to hip hop based off a fansite?
