Sevyn Streeter’s new EP Call Me Crazy, But… doesn’t drop until next Tuesday (December 3), but luckily for fans of the R&B songstress the new album is streaming online right now!
During a recent interview with Billboard, Sevyn said the project explores the motions of a relationship. “It talks abut the cycle of a relationship: the ups, the downs, the goods, the bad, the ugly, the fights, the makeups,” she said. “If not they’re my own, they’re my friends. I call it ‘Taylor Swift-ing that Ho’ cause I write about what I do.”
“These are things that you go through in relationships because a lot of times you get into it with your significant other and you’re like, ‘Oh my God. He’s acting crazy,’” she explained. “But if you hear them out, there’s a reason for being like this. “’Call Me Crazy, But…’ you just told me you were going to do one thing and you did the complete opposite. ‘Call Me Crazy, But…’ didn’t you just lie about this.”
With writing credits like Ariana Grande’s “The Way,” Chris Brown’s “Fine China” and “Kelly Rowland’s “Gone” under her belt, the 27-year-old’s new EP is expected to deliver a few radio hits.
