As protests and conversations about the Eric Garner case continue, a growing list of celebrities are joining the movement to bring awareness to the case. Earlier this week, Derrick Rose, Lebron James and members of the Brooklyn Nets wore “I Can’t Breathe” shirts during warm-ups prior to game time. Kobe Bryant and his LA Lakers teammates recently joined the silent protests by wearing “I Can’t Breathe” T-Shirts.
Kobe spoke on the move saying:
“It’s important that we have our opinions. It’s important that we stand up for what we believe in and we all don’t have to agree with it and it’s completely fine. That’s what makes this a beautiful country.”
