August Alsina isn’t one to hold his tongue. The No Love singer is an open book when it comes to family, fame and the reality behind the Hollywood facade.

Alsina describes his upcoming album This Thing Called Life as a “journey.”

“Life has literally taken me places,” he said in an exclusive interview. “I come from having absolutely nothing, to having a whole lot of everything and that’s two different worlds.”

Combined with his talent and handsome appearance, August’s candor is refreshing and makes his standout among other celebs, who focus on political correctness or not saying anything at all.

“You should respect when a person is giving you who they are fully,” he says. “Everybody is so fake. Every living in this fairy tale world. Everybody living a facade.”

He adds later, “Society got us like robots.”

Get into August’s story, above. This Thing Called Life is set for release on a December 11. Stay tuned for part 2 of our interview with August…
