Led by visionary Kareem “Biggs” Burke, Brooklyn-based denim brand Fourth of November and the New York Knicks have teamed up to design a 70th Anniversary commemorative varsity jacket and snapback cap. The limited edition collection will launch Monday, January 16 with only 70 pieces and will be sold exclusively at the Madison Square Garden Team Store.

The classic varsity jacket and snapback have undergone a stylish transformation evoking a sense of immense nostalgia. Drawing inspiration from this historic basketball team, the collaboration pays homage with an evocative mix of the team colors: blue, white, and orange. The varsity jacket and snapback are adorned with the Knicks 70th year anniversary and Fourth of November logos. Combining well-crafted textures and fabrics, the jacket features a Melton wool body, 3 x 1 yarn dyed stripe rib, and lamb skin leather sleeves. Incorporating elements from both brands, the sleeves are embroidered with chenille patches representing Fourth of November and the Knicks 1970 and 1973 NBA Championship wins.

Kareem, founder of the brand says:

“As a real New Yorker it’s an absolute honor to collaborate with Knicks. I love this city and everything it stands for. The importance of being authentic and credible at a cultural level is the reason why I started Fourth of November, a brand that combines lifestyle and heritage.”

This timeless jacket and snapback are not only quintessential for New York Knicks fans, but will captivate New Yorkers and fashion enthusiasts alike. These covetable pieces will retail for $350.00 and $46.00 respectively.

Fourth of November

Fourth of November, established in Brooklyn, NY, is best known for its handspun denim pieces.

The marriage of art, love and design, the brand strives to produce garments that embody the love for jean-making as well as traditional American fashion. With each and every Fourth of November denim jean it is first hand washed then sent for duplication. Fourth of November derived from the concept of using original Italian indigo dyed yarns to create cloth, Japanese hand washes, and American workman’s heritage.  By combining it all together it produces one blue jean with the synergy of all the original cultures.
