What: Walk to Uganda with Vitiligo Bond

Why: Socks and Stuff, an idea that was started in the library, is a community service based club that focuses on providing necessities to the homeless that you don’t often think about giving them(socks, feminine products, wipes, toilet paper, etc.). Throughout the 2016-2017 school year, we have managed to collect over 150 pairs of socks, over 500 soap boxes and towels, 200 toilet paper rolls, 2,000 wipes, and even fulfilled a classroom’s holiday list at a local shelter. We also successfully organized two trips to a local shelter (Our House in Atlanta, Georgia) in which we donated items and helped around the shelter by reading books to children and participating in both the Holiday and Halloween parties.
This year, we are expanding our club by going global, hence the shelter in Uganda. We have reached out to the orphanage, Hands of Love and set a goal of $10,000 which will be going to fund children in Uganda’s education, health, and well being
