Episode 7, ‘Time For After’ leads into next weeks mid-season finale of The Walking Dead and primarily focuses on our favorite mullet wearing coward Euguene.

Eugene and Negan Photo: Gene Page/AMC
He is currently in a pickle, he has been tasked by Negan to fix the current dilemma of a shit load of walkers surrounding the Saviors’ compound. If he doesn’ fix the situation a lot of people are going to die and there is no guarantee he won’t be one of them.

That’s not the only thing worrying poor Eugene, there is also the issue of learning about Dwight being AHK’s (Alexandria, Hilltop, and Kingdom) mole. Eugene decides to pay a visit to Dwight trying to convince him to stop his quest to bring down the Negan and the Sanctuary. He tells Dwight he won’t snitch on him if he ceases his plan but Dwight was like…

Dwight is not about to stop cause he can smell Negan’s death coming and it’s something he’s been dreaming about for a very long time. Dwight does his best to try and convince Eugene to just sit on his hands and shut off his big brain and let the Sanctuary and Negan meet their doom.
Eugene isn’t trying to hear it and tells Dwight that he is Savior and the mission is to save people. Dwight wasn’t the only person trying to get Dwight to do the right thing. Eugene also has a conversation with a very ill Father Gabriel, Negan’s drunk concubine Tanya and the doctor Harlen.

They all failed miserably, of course, we even see side of Euegen we have never seen before when he angrily tells Father Gabriel he is with Negan.

Eugene puts his big brain to use after he finds the iPod he gave to Sasha in the casket she died and turned into a walker in. He creates a glider out of a kite and attaches the iPod and a speaker to blast out the music. The plan is to fly the glider over the herd of walkers to grab their attention and lure them away from the sanctuary. Before he can do that Dwight shows up to stop him.
Dwight tells Eugene that if even attempts to go through with his plan he will shoot him. Eugene must have a grew a pair at this moment cause he sent the glider off. BUT instead of shooting him, Dwight decides to take out the glider instead and vanishes. Eugene has his chance to snitch on Dwight to Negan, but he clams up maybe because Dwight was there to scare him into not telling on him.
Also at the same moment, Daryl, Michonne, Tara, Rosita, Morgan and other members are about to mess up Rick’s plans.

Are You Sure You Want To Do This?

Morgan Photo: Gene Page/AMC
Patience was the theme for tonight and it showed with Daryl’s and Tara’s pretty lame plan to bring down the Sanctuary once and for all. Daryl, Tara, Michonne, and Rosita didn’t want to wait for their fearless leader who’s in a bind (we will get to that) at the moment. They decide it’s now or never to take down Negan and his crew and they get more help from Morgan who was strategically placed around the Sanctuary as a sniper with two other team AHK members.
The plan is for Daryl to ram a garbage truck in the building giving the walkers an opening to storm inside and enjoy the Savior buffet waiting for them on the inside. While all of that is going on hopefully the innocent people on the inside will seize their opportunity to escape before they become walker food. Before they enact the plan Michonne and Rosita get cold feet and decide it would be wise for them to wait for Rick and whatever he’s scheming.
Daryl, on the other hand, is like…

Daryl, Tara, Rosita with the assistance of Morgan start operation mess Rick’s plan up and it looks like it’s going off without a hitch. Daryl crashes the garbage truck into the building as planned and the walkers storm inside the Sanctuary.

The walkers are taking out some of the Saviors but it’s not really clear if the plan really succeeded. We will have to wait until next weeks finale to see exactly what this pretty dumb plan did if anything at all.
Now, lets zap to Rick and the people of the junk.

Join Me Or Die!

Jadis and Rick Photo: Gene Page/AMC
All they had to do was trust in Rick and wait. Now, it really didn’t look too good for Rick who paid Jadis and her junk yardigans a visit to convince them to join him. He failed miserably of course and ended up in a bin half-naked in his underwear.

Jadis who seems to have a thing for Mr. Grimes and it clearly shows in this episode. Jadis opens the container, Rick is still defiant and warns her she better get in line or die. Jadis, of course, is too busy taking pictures (which seems to be a thing this season) of half-naked Rick while he is being sketched. Rick asks Jadis what the pictures are for and she tells him he will find out later.
Rick was like…

Well instead of just quickly putting him out his misery just by shooting him they prefer to use a walker that is controlled by a broomstick.

Now somehow, some way, Rick managed to fight his way out of this ridiculous situation, take control of the walker and remove its head.

He then takes down Jadis (she probably enjoyed it) and places her head right next to the walkers detached head which happens to still be alive.

All of Rick’s amazingness impresses Jadis and she agrees to join them finally. She even tries to negotiate Rick posing for her nude so she can sculpt him. Rick was like…

With his newest team members with him they head to the sanctuary, Rick is absolutely stunned to see that all of the Walkers are gone and could have been all been killed by the Saviors. Damn Daryl all you had to do is wait and judging from the scenes from next weeks finale, the plan failed MISERABLY.
Oh, and they are promising that something crazy is going to happen so we might be losing a cast member. We can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next week.
