The hashtag #BlackWomen is trending this morning because people are giving credit where credit is due in the defeat of accused child predator Roy Moore in Tuesday’s Senate special election in Alabama.

Receipts published by The Washington Post showed that 98% of Black women voted for Democratic candidate Doug Jones in the traditionally red state. Early exit numbers indicate that Black people, especially Black women, clearly made a difference in handing Moore the L.

 

 

People of all races took to Twitter with their gratitude, to share voting stories, to rejoice and to plan for the future — all under the hashtag #BlackWomen:
