Ja Rule will release his eighth album, The Renaissance Project, on June 7th, one day before he is due to begin a two-year jail sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

Ja Rule’s sentencing in his gun case has been delayed until March. The rapper, born Jeffrey Atkins, was scheduled to be sentenced February 9th.
