Rap mogul Master P will host an event during Grammy week honoring late R&B singer Teena Marie, in hopes of raising awareness about health related issues, whether its diabetes, high blood pressure or obesity.

The late Teena Marie's next concert would've been New Year's Day in Atlanta. Instead, the Fox Theatre will honor Marie's career with an impromptu tribute featuring previous headliners MAZE and Frankie Beverly, along with Johnny Gill and Stephanie Mills.

TV One is paying respects to blue-eyed soul singer Teena Marie with a special viewing of her incredible episode of Unsung tonight at 9pm(ET) and Midnight. As we previously reported, Teena Marie passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. She was 54.
