As we previously reported, yesterday would have been Tupac Shakur’s 39th birthday. In recognition of Pac’s born day, the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain held their 2nd Annual 2Pac Birthday Celebration and Benefit.

The event was hosted by comedian Mike Epps and Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur.

Despite a downpour of rain halting the outside event for about an hour, rappers Bun B, Roscoe Dash, Young Joc, Gorilla Zoe and Waka Flocka Flame were all in the house to pay tribute to Tupac. Waka even performed his hit “O Let’s Do It” even though he wasn’t featured on the bill. Hip hop vet Special Ed was also there and shared some memories of hanging out with Tupac, saying that ‘Pac even tried to get him a role in Juice.
