The storied rivalry between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints got even nastier last night when the Saints arrived at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The AJC reports that several airport workers tossed eggs at the Saints team bus.
Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel tweeted this after the team’s charter flight touched down in Atlanta:
Wow, as we’re boarding buses on the Tarmac @ Atlanta airport, we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!

Tight end Jimmy Graham also confirmed the egging incident with another tweet:

Saints linebacker Will Herring also tweeted about it:

A spokesperson for the airport told the AJC that the incident is being investigated and the employees found to be involved will likely face disciplinary action.
The Saints have won 11 of the last 13 games in the rivalry, including handing the Falcons their first and only loss of this season, a 31-27 victory on November 11. The Falcons are 10-1 and the Saints are just 5-6 this season.
