Reality TV personality Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth often gets brushed off as the angry Black woman or b*tchy, but the former “Apprentice” star is about as real as it gets. She struck a nerve with White women this morning while on Bethenny Frankel’s show “Bethenny” when she said told the host “It’s different for you and I, I am an African-American woman. You get to walk around and be mediocre and you still get rewarded with things. We have to be exceptional to get anything in this business.”

The predominantly White audience responded with boos and Manigault-Stallworth tried to clarify that she wasn’t insulting Frankel personally but the race in a whole. “I wasn’t calling her mediocre. Clearly she’s doing well. I am here on your show and I think that’s fantastic,” she said. Frankel attempted to move forward but grew defensive as the conversation continued.

Omarosa, in that moment, informed White women of their White privilege and I rejoiced inside. However, it appears that White women missed the message and think Omarosa was just picking on Bethenny because of their former beef. Nah. As a Black woman, I can assure all White women that there is a validity to Omarosa’s comment. Omarosa and Bethenny are no better example of this. Omarosa is still defending her fiery wrath while Frankel has her own show. And let’s not mention the double standard Black women face when having a child out of wedlock compared to White women.

Omarosa may be hard to digest, but that chile ain’t never lied!
