Floyd Mayweather doesn’t see anything wrong with calling out his ex-fiancee Shantel Jackson for having an abortion.
If there is nothing else that Shantel should be thankful for this Thanksgiving, it should be the simple fact that she is no longer with the boxing champ.
Earlier this year, he decided to take a really low blow at her this year by posting a sonogram of the child they would have had if she hadn’t terminated the pregnancy. He pointed to the abortion as a major cause behind their eventual split, but people thought his actions were just despicable because he tried to shame her for getting the procedure.
Appropriately, she filed suit against him for invasion of privacy, defamation, battery and assault. Floyd countered with his own legal documents defending his actions. In his opinion, her abortion was fair game fir ridicule because they are both famous. As such, he thinks she should have no allusions of privacy.
“Both parties are public figures. Abortion is a public issue,” Floyd said in court documents. “A public figure involved with another public figure in a public relationship can expect publicity, not privacy, about why it ends.”
Floyd was already pretty terrible in terms of his attitude towards women, and it’s clearly getting worse.
