GABEO (Georgia Association of Elected Black Officials) is focusing its winter conference on explosive and relevant topics such as police brutality and the criminal justice system.

This said to be evident in the conference theme, “Where do we go from here? (Chaos or Community)”.

Details of this intriguing conference will be shared by GABEO President, Representative Tyrone Brooks at a press briefing to kick off the conference on Thursday, February 26th. One thing we can bet, based on the agenda, this year’s conference will involve many generations.  There is a panel discussion based on the powerful manta “Black Lives Matter.”  The agenda also includes ageless topics such as the 1965 Voting Rights Act, police brutality and healthcare.

Attorney Benjamin Crump who represents the Trayvon Martin, Kendrick Johnson and Michael Brown families will be a key note speaker during the conference.  The conference is free and everyone is invited to voice their opinions about a wide range of issues and to talk about what they believe it will take to improve the quality of life for all Americans.

Conference locations are in Douglasville, Georgia. Please see details below. It starts February 26, 2015 and ends March 1, 2015.  You’re asked to register online at www.gabeo.us.
