Marie Holmes stole our hearts earlier this year when she won a $188 million Powerball jackpot. The 26-year-old unemployed, North Carolina single mother of four, including a special needs child, clearly needed the money.

But according to a New York Daily News report, she reportedly used part of her jackpot to bail her fiancé, Lamar (Hot Sauce) McDow, out of jail — twice:

While bondsmen do not have to release the name of who posted an inmate’s bail, McDow’s Powerball millionaire fiancée, Marie Holmes, likely footed the bill. Prosecutors said she bailed him out of jail once before, paying $3 million in March just weeks after she won the lottery, WWAY reported.

McDow, who has a long criminal history including assault and drug possession convictions, was arrested in November following a yearlong investigation into drug trafficking rings. He was charged with trafficking heroin and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin.

Holmes, who had to quit jobs at Walmart and McDonald’s to support her kids, said at the news conference announcing her winnings in February that she wanted “to use the cash to finish college and set up tuition funds for her four children,” the News writes. Now, she’s facing major backlash for using her money on a troubled loved one.

We’re going to stay out of her personal business, but what do you think about Holmes spending her money the way she wants…even if that means bailing someone out of jail?

Sound off below…
