As Muhammad Aliwas sent off for his final processional through his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, thousands of people lined the streets to pay their respects to the late legend.
Celebrities also showed up in bunches to honor Ali for what would be his last time. Will Smith (who portrayed Ali in the biopic of the same name) and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson loaded Ali’s casket into a hearse just before the 17-car processional took the legendary boxer on his final journey around his hometown.
The 19-mile processional route stopped at landmarks in the three-time heavyweight boxing champion’s life, including his childhood neighborhood, the gym where he first began his boxing training, Muhammad Ali Boulevard and the Muhammad Ali center.
