Young Dro stopped by my show to share details about his new record label and to address rumors that he is no longer a Grand Hustle artist.
When asked about the alleged split/riff with Grand Hustle Dro states that he still is signed to Grand Hustle and that Tip also supports his movement:
“I probably worded it wrong, you know me and my homeboy we come from the bottom and I just wanted to make a new label for my artists and Tip is very supportive of it…”
He also talks about working with Joseline Hernandez, but didn’t quite confirm whether or not the baby is his. He does support her being pregnant and still working:
“I’ve seen women who were pregnant, it shouldn’t be a problem, it would be less work if anything, but I do want to do the project though.”
Dro not only is giving back to the community with his recent back to school drives and volunteering, he also wants to challenge other rappers to go back to school and get their diploma or GED.
“I wanna challenge alot of rappers that didn’t finish high school…I got kicked out because I got shot but that’s not excuse, so I wanna go back.”
