Did Phaedra Parks announce her divorce from estranged husband Apollo Nida a bit prematurely?
Although Real Housewives of Atlanta star proudly proclaimed her marriage to Apollo was finalized, it appears that wasn’t the case. TMZ obtained court documents showing that Apollo has just filed divorce papers from prison. In the documents, Apollo is requesting joint legal custody of their 2 children and an equal split of their financial assets.
Last month, Phaedra interviewed with TMZ’s Raq Rants and claimed the divorce was a done deal. Apollo’s people circled back saying if that was in fact true, it was news to him because he has never been served papers.
Perhaps with Apollo being incarcerated (a fact that was excluded from court documents) there is some legal loophole that allowed Phaedra to dissolve the marriage quicker than usual. Whatever the case, one thing is for – these two are both ready to move on. Hopefully they can get through this process as quickly as possible.
