Ian Hopgood in many ways is like a lot of kids. He loves comics, he adores Marvel superheros, and he worships Black Panther. But in November his life changed making him different than most kids his age. He was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor after his mother noticed some behavior issues in school, as well as his declining health. But even through adversity Ian finds reasons to smile.

“We kind of go off the theory of laughter heals and joy heals, said Ian’s Mother. “That’s how we live every day because we honestly don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring.”

Chadwick Boseman, the star of Marvel’s “Black Panther,”heard about Ian Hopgood’s battle and had to meet the young hero for himself. Chadwick stopped by the hospital to visit Ian to say hello and bring some joy into the young man’s life. He also brought Ian some really cool exclusive toys. Ian hopes to see Marvel’s Black Panther when it hit theaters February 2018.

Help with Ian’s journey by donating to his GoFundMe page.
