Special celebrity guest and mentors, LaTavia Roberson and Tiffany Evans empowers and encourages ladies during their Glam Day session!
It’s one of the most anticipated signature partnering summer initiatives for Saving Our Daughters with longtime community partner, Radio One HOT 107.9. On Friday, June 15th, they hosted the 3rd Annual Glam Prom Day for the Covenant House youth homeless shelter in Atlanta, Georgia.
Over the last 3 years, many celebrity guest such as, R&B sensation, Keke Wyatt and VH1 TV personality, Precious from Family Hustle, have supported and encouraged the girls during their glam session; which involves nails, makeup and hair for the girls and boys as they prepare for their beautiful Prom evening.
This year, original member of Destiny’s Child and TV personality, LaTavia Roberson and singer and actor Tiffany Evans, both “Celebrity Godparent” mentors, surprised the girls during glam sessions, as they also spoke and encouraged them to continue to pursue their dreams regardless of their circumstances they may be facing. LaTavia shared how she was unable to attend her prom and she really wanted them to enjoy this time. Then closing out Tiffany was asked to sing with the youth “Promise Ring”, they loved it.
The prom evening of course was hosted by the amazing, HOT 107.9, DJ Jay T, as he kept the music going strong, and the youth and staff of the Covenant House partied with a purpose throughout the evening. Donated gift bags from Radio One and Blow Me Away Atlanta were given out at prom.
Thank you again to HOT 107.9, LaTavia Roberson and Tiffany Evans for always caring for Saving Our Daughters and the young ladies they serve of Georgia and across the country.
