In last month’s episode of #RealNews with @RealCurtisSnow, the Netflix legend talked White House corruption and gentrification.

This month, Curtis Snow gives his take on Mo’Nique, Netflix, JAY-Z hitting $900 million, partnering with Snoop Dogg On TrapFlix and trying legal weed in California.

CURTIS SNOW: “I ain’t even been catching up on the news,” admits Curtis Snow before a big meeting with YouTube and his TrapFlix partner JT The Bigga Figga in Oakland.

“The boy Rick Ross, they say he was in the hospital on life machines, but they say he doing alright now.”

JAY-Z HITS $900 MILLION ACCORDING TO FORBES

“JAY-Z, they say he hit $900 million. It’s just that real money that didn’t get to them folks — and he got left with the crumbs. These crumbs, really. But they stacking it up. You know how that shit go.”

“But gaaatdamn; Need to donate something to something. Or help somebody out on something. All that g— Yeah, he’ll try to run for President. Thing about it, the next president could be anybody.

JT THE BIGGA FIGGA: “He could do it; JAY-Z could do it.”

CURTIS SNOW: “The next president — it could be anybody, now. It’s up for grabs.”

ON MO’NIQUE, NETFLIX & SNOW ON THA BLUFF:

“A lot of people don’t take her serious no more. She lost a lot of credibility. She just the wrong person saying it right now.

That’s all that is. Everybody else saying that shit. Shit— you know Netflix been fucking folks over before I ever got a chance to deal with ‘em.

But I didn’t know that. If I woulda knew that, I wouldn’t have ever dealt with em. But at the same time, I was damn near living under a bridge. I was fucked up. So after shit hit the fan, them folks (inaudible) as hell, they peeped that we wasn’t professional.

We didn’t know what the fuck we had. Nah mean? And then, we was just tryna get a deal some type of way. Shit, ain’t like they tricked a nigga. They just didn’t put us on the real game. And then we didn’t know that this shit was gonna run for that long.

The original “Snow On Tha Bluff” is approximately 12 years old right now, from the first day it came out. But you know, it didn’t hit Netflix and all that shit ‘til 2012. That’s when it jumped a real scale. But the shit has been out since 2007. ‘04, ‘05 we had been working on it. It was a street/underground movie where we was just watching it ourselves.

Still get the royalty checks, yup. But they don’t be shit! But I know outta all my other movies, that’s the one that muhfuckas, from then to now, still be talking about as if it just came out yesterday. I be waiting for somebody to say something about the other movies.

First thing they say: “Oh, Snow On Tha Bluff.” But, that shit still got that hype behind it. And somebody watching that bitch every day for the first time. It’s been bootlegged a million times. I just wanna know that real number. You know, the numbers don’t lie.”

In part three, Snow and TrapFlix co-founder JT The Bigga Figga talk about the streaming business and bringing Snoop Dogg onboard.

ON TRAPFLIX WORKING WITH SNOOP DOGG AND YOUTUBE:

“We TrapFlix for life. It was us, just me and JT. We brought Snoop to it.”

JT THE BIGGA FIGGA (Founder of TrapFlix):

“The TrapFlix app, we took all the movies off of there. We don’t want ‘em to watch it on there, we want ‘em to watch it on TrapFlix YouTube.

Yeah they can look on YouTube, the majority of damn near everything is up there.

That’s where all the traffic is at. They not watching no app. I took that shit off, ‘cause they charge us to let niggas watch our shit, and we ain’t even selling no commercial time, or nothing on that bitch. So I was like, “Fuck that, why am I paying all this money?” You know, to look good. But that party’s over. My people at YouTube said come to California for this meeting, and that’s what the fuck I did. And I found out a secret, and ever since then, I been keeping Curt tuned in that, “Hey, the more product, the bigger the bubble. Cause boy, ain’t no 360 deals. And gotdamnit, we ain’t signing to nobody. Cause I know I can’t. I’m too old to do that. My family’ll look at me crazy. But the smart play: We licensing it, and we ain’t done that yet. That’s what we out her for now. Everybody wanna get they hands on these 40-something movies.”

CURTIS SNOW:

“And that’s our reason for being in Cali, right now you heard it first.”

In part four, Snow tries legal weed In Oakland, California and talks about unfairness of decriminalization.

ON LEGAL WEED IN CALIFORNIA:

“Yeah, after I damn near OD’d on weed, I know they for real (in Cali). We really getting high. It’s a whole ‘nother different high from that shit we be smoking in Atlanta, for real, for real. To me, it’s like when you first ever got high.

Everywhere you go, the whole world’s high. It’s supposed to be a better understanding, no matter what, if everybody on the same thing.

I won’t even smoke cigarettes no more. I just smoke weed. Can’t even smoke a whole blunt of this shit by myself, I be getting paranoid and have to put it down or put it out. And I’m high, after a couple puffs of this shit. You know what I’m talking about, literally high, where you can feel the high coming on.

Every drug they got, you feel it coming on, just like the old school way. I’m talking bout — what?

The first time, I couldn’t believe. Second time, I had to do it again, just to make sure what I was doing the first time was real. And that shit helping folks forreal. So I feel like anybody who’s locked up for some weed, before this law shit, they need to just go ahead and let them folks go now.

They got stores. You can go in a store and buy this shit. Walk up to the police and ask ‘em for a lighter. People who got caught up, until they do something about it, they just caught up. Shit’s crazy, but you know a lot of them laws got changed in between time.”
