Michael Jackson’s brother Randy says the King of Pop couldn’t have signed his will because he was on the other side of the country when the document was executed.  The will was signed on July 7, 2002 at 5:00PM in Los Angeles but, according to Randy, Michael was in New York from July 5th through July 9, 2009.  He went there to meet with then Sony Music president Tommy Mottola in a bid to get out of his recording contract.  Rev. Al Sharpton staged a protest with Michael in front of the Sony building.  Sharpton’s rep said the reverend “will address this after he discusses it with the Jackson family.”

Meanwhile, attorney Howard Weitzman, who represents Michael’s estate, says that Jackson signed the will in person and in front of witnesses.  But Weitzman did not say if the signing was done in L.A. as the document suggests.
