According to the Macon Telegraph, So Icey/Brick Squad rapper Waka Flocka Flame has been released from the Houston County Jail, near Macon, Georgia.
Waka Flocka Flame, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, had been taken into custody Tuesday for violating probation. He had previously been convicted of possession of a sawed-off shotgun. It was not immediately known what the probation violation had been, or why he had been released.
Malphurs, 23, was released Thursday evening from the jail, just in time for a performance tonight in Gainesville, Florida.
Waka tweeted to surprised fans that he was on his way to being released late Thursday telling fans in Virginia and Tennessee:
“Sorry 2 Va and Tenn i cant make ima b out at 12.”
He also said that his next mixtape, Flockavelli was on its way:
“Me N @djholiday going N on this Flockavelli mixTape finna drop next month cover finna b put up n a week.”
