Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie has been sentenced to eight years in prison following his guilty plea to drug charges. The 29-year-old rapper (born Torrence Hatch) pleaded guilty to conspiring to smuggle codeine, marijuana and ecstasy into two Louisiana prisons.

The Georgia state Board of Pardons and Paroles has declined to commute the death sentence for Troy Anthony Davis, convicted of killing off-duty Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989. Davis, 42, is scheduled to be put to death by lethal injection on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Jackson, GA.

It’s back to jail again for Gucci Mane. According to the Associated Press, Gucci Mane will serve six months in jail after pleading guilty to battery and other charges. The battery charge stems from an April incident when Gucci pushed a woman out of his moving vehicle near South DeKalb Mall.
