Jennifer Hudson showed Chelsea Handler a little more skin than she planned during a recent visit on her E! talk show.

Within seconds of her entrance, the DreamGirls star endured an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction when the zipper on her black leather skirt split open!

“Oh my god, oh my god,” the “Chelsea Lately” host screamed. “Turn around, let me help you.”

“Zip me back up,” J-Hud said. “You got it, you got it. Don’t break the zipper!”

Chelsea’s reaction was priceless and luckily she saved the day!

After Jennifer’s skirt was back in its rightful place, the actress went on to discuss her new, critically acclaimed film, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, where she plays a heroin-using single mother named Gloria.

“I’ve never done anything so it was hard to play this role. I’ve never had a drink in my life or been unsober. And normally as an actor you have things to pull from but I was like, ‘I don’t know what it’s like to have any of that,’” she said. “So I went to a rehabilitation center and met with several ladies and they would tell me their stories as addicts. I tried to find one I could connect to and pretty much tell her story… The worst story she told me was one time she had her baby in a bookbag while she went out to find her high.”

“We shot with needles, not a real one,” Jennifer added. “And they took me through every step of what it’s like–how you get addicted to drugs, how it feels like when you are high. She told me it was like an orgasm. I was like, ‘I can do that part!’”

Watch the sneak-peek clip below and be sure to tune in for the full interview tonight, October 11, on E!
