With the influence and respect from legends like Grandmaster Flash and Kid Capri, killing the airwaves of Atlanta’s WHTA (Hot 1079 FM) or sharing the BET Awards stage with Rae Sremmurd; DJ Kash has proven himself a leader in the art of DJing.

A Brooklyn native honing his skills with his first turntables at age of twelve, DJ Kash was ready for his first gig at fifteen. A year later his family moved to Hempstead Long Island where Kash became one of Long Island’s most sought after DJ’s and set the standard for all those who were unlucky enough to come after him. His passion for music, beats and lyrics swayed his mentor and world renowned producer Todd “the god” Terry to include him on Todd’s 1999 Resolutions album. Kash’s musical debut landed him the number one spot in the UK.

To the son of Haitian immigrants giving up was never an option. While attending Dowling College, Kash hit the college party scene with dynamism and vigor DJing for LI’s hottest clubs and events. This helped land him a spot on “Hip Hop Station” a weekly public broadcast on Brooklyn Community Access Television. The show was comprised of local musicians, song writers, artists and community news. His name was synonymous with everything related to Long Island and Brooklyn’s night life. After reckoning colleges like Dowling, Stony Brook, Hofstra, Farmingdale, and NYIT, DJ Kash took over the Long Island and Connecticut radio waves of Reggae Live, WXXXP Party 105.3. The DJ aspect of the job was a given but his achievement was evident with his role as announcer. Kash developed innovating segments, scheduled hot local artists, and produced commercials and drops appealing to an untapped audience and gaining the station fifty percent new listenership which grew weekly. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Kash headed for Atlanta where he hosted XS Megazine, a podcast which featured hip hop’s rising stars in the recording industry. He later became one of ATL’s hottest DJ’s in the city and joined V103 as an on-air personality.

His laundry list of accomplishments include DJing for Drake vs Lil Wayne concerts, opening for Lauren Hill, Wu-Tang Clan and Jasmine Sullivan to name a few. He has also shared the stage with legendary DJs and reggae luminaries such as Wayne Wonder, Mavado, Bunji Garlin and Lady Saw.

As a We The Best Music Group affiliate, a two-time Global Spin nominee, the official King of the Mix for Amsterdam Liquor and even a DJ on Grand Theft Auto 5, Kash remains a driving force on the club scene.  Pulling from his Haitian roots he blends and mixes sounds from various cultures in his sets bring Caribbean culture main stream. This is one of the reasons DJ Khaled selected Kash to join the We The Best family.

In 2017, Kash announced an even bigger move to Atlanta’s #1 Hip Hop Station, Hot 1079 joining #1 radio show The Durtty Boyz alongside J Nicks. The edgy duo can be heard hosting weeknights on Atlanta’s airwaves from 6-10pm playing the hottest hip-hop music and exclusives.

DJ Kash has worked with some of the music industry’s best without intimidation and not needing the approbation of others but always paying homage to those who have paved the way with one thing in mind; “I’m just a kid from Brooklyn who beat the odds.” says Kash. Because the odds aren’t always in a young man’s favor, Kash volunteers as a mentor on the All-Star Basketball AAU Youth Team and North Metro ASA, hoping to even out some of those odds.
