The American Idol producers are genuises for adding Nicki Minaj to the judging table this season. Drama is what gets high TV ratings, so Nicki Minaj is definitely giving them a bang for their buck this season. Meanwhile, Mariah is still giving the huge eye roll…
Wednesday Nicki Minaj did something no other American Idol judge had done before; she arrived late for the live taping elimination performances. Nicki walked right onto set wearing a hoody and shades. Prior to arriving, she blamed her absence on being stuck in LA traffic. Nicki tweeted “Stuck in traffic *sighs* F–k u Malibu!!!! *moves to Beverly Hills*.” Nicki and her dramatic antics don’t come as a surprise but definitely didn’t end white her tardiness to a live taping.
Thursday, she arrived on time but her emotions were running high when her favorite contestant, 24-year-old St. Louis native Curtis Finch Jr., landed in the bottom two, and she threatened to quit the show. She told Curtis, “If you go home, I’m going home,” and got up as if she was going to walk off set, but came back adding even more drama to the already tense atmosphere. Curtis was given one last chance to sing, and after belting out R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly,” he ended up being sent home by the other judges. Nicki was pissed and got up as if she was leaving the set.
Nicki we all know you aren’t walking away from all those millions and better yet we know the dramatics won’t here.
