Gucci Mane was denied bond today (March 27) at his first court appearance following his arrest for allegedly assaulting a soldier with a champagne bottle earlier this month at an Atlanta’s Harlem Nights club. His next court date is set for April 10.
Gucci, whose real name is Radric Davis, was booked into the Fulton County Jail late Tuesday night after turning himself in. He is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the judge cited Gucci’s extensive prior record and previous encounters with the law as the reason he was denied bond.
Gucci performed in Evansville, Indiana over the weekend and has shows booked in Florida and Virginia in the coming weeks. He can also currently be seen in the movie Spring Breakers.
