What in thee entire eff? Donald Sterling a man who is absolutely making money hand over fist due to the hard work and sweat of black men is in super scalding hot water for his recent comments to his gal pal V. Stiviano over her Instagram account and the pics she posted of herself with black folk! Ohh but here’s the kicker…the chick Stiviano is allegedly BLACK and MEXICAN! Wow!
According to TMZ, Donald Sterling went on a rant on April 9, 2014 which was recorded. TMZ obtained a copy of the explosive recording in which Sterling says,
“It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people. Do you have to? (3:30)
You can sleep with [black people]. You can bring them in, you can do whatever you want. The little I ask you is not to promote it on that … and not to bring them to my games. (5:15)
I’m just saying, in your lousy f******* Instagrams, you don’t have to have yourself with, walking with black people. (7:45)
…Don’t put him [Magic] on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don’t bring him to my games.” (9:13)
Again we say WOW! Take a listen to the racist rumblings in the video below!
So the question we have is NOW WHAT? This man has been sued in Federal Court before for refusing to rent homes to black and latino tenants and clearly no lessons were learned there!
Do we march? Do we boycott his team which would allow the players to become unintended casualties? Do we demand that the black and or latino players on his team sit down and refuse to play? Or do we let a bitter old racist man be what he’s always been…a bitter, racist man?
We aren’t sure what the answer is…but we do feel that if he is marched out in front of cameras and forced to fake an apology nothing will be gained. Aren’t we over the apologies at this point anyway? Instead we’d like to hear from the team! That is where the story is right now anyway. Paging Mr. Griffin….
