As we previously reported, there was a wealth of controversy surrounding the death of Bronx born Rapper Tim Dog over the last year. A woman named Esther Pilgrim had dealings with the rapper and he allegedly defrauded her out of a healthy sum of money. She was furious that she was never able to recoup the money because shortly after she was awarded a settlement from a judge against the rapper, he reportedly passed away.
This story is beyond crazy. There was speculation that Tim Dog was a master manipulator and con man and therefore the 46-year-old was not really dead. People claimed that Tim was on the run in order not to have to pay Esther the money back.
There were post death arrest warrants issued for him and a funeral service was actually boycotted because family, friends and colleagues no longer believed that the emcee was gone either.

Well, Dateline NBC got involved and started researching the story. They were able to find what others, (including law enforcement) had been unsuccessful in securing…a death certificate.
According to Dateline, Tim Dog aka Timothy Blair died at Hospice Atlanta, Dekalb County, GA on 14 February, 2013. Dateline obtained his death certificate from the Dekalb County GA Board of Health. No paperwork was filed in the county where Blair was widely believed to be living – because death records are filed in the county of death; and no one except close family, friends and carers knew where the former rapper lived – and died.
There is a final twist in the story of Tim Dog’s death. It turns out his cremation was paid for by the county.
We don’t know how much it cost Mississippi tax payers for all of that to have been done but we’re going to guess that it wasn’t cheap!
We hope now that Tim Dog’s family is finally able to be at peace over this. And as far as the arrest warrant for a man who had been dead and gone for months…there are no words.
