Black Friday is quickly approaching and it’s going to be a HUGE day for sneaker-heads and Jordan fanatics all across the map. Not only will folks be rushing to Best Buy locations, Wal-Marts and Targets for electronic gifts and great deals, but sneaker stores will be on full tilt also that day. Why? you ask, well only because the Jordan 6 Retro “Black/Infrared 23” will be available for purchase that’s why.
EASILY one of the most popular designs in the Jordan collection next to the Jordan 1, Jordan 3 and Jordan 11. The sneaker makes its triumphant return in the popular black/infrared23 colorway. The Air Jordan 6 “Infrared 23” will serve as the final pair in the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan 6. There are some collectors not too pleased with the pinkish tone, as they feel it’s not truly “red” at all. We definitely can understand their frustration, but we also understand that this won’t stop folks from lining up for the shoe.
The good folks at Marqueesole even did a comparison of each of variations of the Jordan 6 over the years and there is a clear difference. The red has gotten significantly lighter over the years. Again that doesn’t take away from the flyness of sneaker at all. Lets get into even more photos of the Jordan 6 “infrared 23″ shall we?
The famous red lace-lock will be making its return, we are sure it will find its way on other Jordan sneakers as well.
Sadly it will not feature the original Nike Air logo on the back, we wished they would but the Jumpman logo is always a great replacement.
A new touch to the sneaker is the 3M reflective detailing giving the already sleek design a step above the others. #WELike!
The “ice” outersole is always a visually appealing touch, only drawback is the discoloration or “yellowing” overtime which can become an eyesore.
Of course we can’t forget that ever so popular shoe tongue with the double square cutout. When you think of the Jordan 6 it’s one of the shoe’s main features that come to mind.
We know Yeezy definitely got himself a few pairs, the Jordan 6 was basically apart of his everyday uniform as much as his own signature sneaker. There already have been a few celebs/athletes sporting the sneaker early, must be nice to have that connect. Peep who got their hands on the prized sneakers early below in the gallery.
If you haven’t been able to get yourself a pair early, and most of us haven’t understandably, the Jordan 6 Infrared 23 officially hits Nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers November 28th for $185. A perfect gift for the family, if you can get your hands on a pair, good luck!
