Beyonce's B'Day album, which coincided with Bey's 25th birthday (September 4th, 2006), destroyed the idea of the sophomore album jinx.
Behind-the-scenes footage has surfaced of Beyonce performing "Ring The Alarm" at the 2006 VMA's (you remember, the performance with the long trench coat) where she not only seemed aggravated at the production crew but said "I'm a black girl, you can't put blue light on a black girl."
