Single Lady no more! Dance Captain to Lemonade singer Beyoncé, Ashley Everett, gets a special surprise at the St. Louis stop on the Formation World Tour.

Boyfriend, fellow dancer / choreographer and St. Louis native, John Silver, interrupted Queen Bey and the Beyhive during a performance of “Single Ladies” to publicly express his love and appreciation for his “queen.”

Everett has been dancing with Beyonce since 2007 when she declined to continue her studies at New York’s Juilliard School to join The Beyoncé Experience Tour. She was just 17 years old! Since then, Everett has worked continuously with Beyoncé, as well as a variety of other music artists, and expanded her career into acting.

Last night (Sept. 10) at The Dome at America’s Center, Beyoncé stages a surprise proposal for her lead dancer by pretending to look for a fan to bring to the stage to help her sing the song. She then passes the mic to John Silver, who’s dressed in suit with a white sports coat.

“I want to present to you the epitome of a phenomenal woman who puts up with the nonsense and BS that comes with a St. Louis n-i-g-g-a,” he said as he got down on one knee to present a ring to the dancer. Ashley’s man knows he likes it “So I put a ring on it,” he declared.

Shocked and excited, she received the rock and hugged her fiancé before returning to formation to finish the performance. At the end, Everett and Beyoncé pointed to the new bling together in celebration. Now that’s a proposal!

Congrats, guys. We wish you many years of love and happiness.
