Incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie hopes his influence can make a difference, recently highlighting the trouble that comes with drugs and crime to a 15-year old who said he wanted to be like just Boosie on Beyond Scared Straight, a popular rehabilitation show for troubled teens.

Boosie’s message from prison was sent as a letter and read over the phone to the 15-year-old  by one of his close friends:

You can be better than me. You don’t want a marijuana addiction because it leads to trouble as you can see. Look at me. I’ve been in prison two years for smoking marijuana… most gangstas end up in jail or dead… we never got a letter from our role model telling us to chill out.
