It was a great evening on Broadway for Atlanta director Kenny Leon as 'Fences' actors Denzel Washington and Viola Davis, 'Fela!'s Bill T. Jones and the musical 'Memphis' were among the big winners at the 64th Annual Tony Awards in New York City.

Ciara's been causing a lot of controversy lately with her video for her latest single "Ride" featuring Ludacris. The video's suggestive dancing from the Atlanta singer has been causing quite a stir, with BET refusing to air it. Now the song's been remixed and features a pretty dope verse from fellow ATLien, the not-heard-from-often-enough Andre 3000!

Singers Maxwell and Jill Scott have a few things in common. As we previously reported, Atlanta’s own Monica sang the National Anthem at Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Boston Tuesday night. “I was so nervous but all the encouragement from u guys helped a ton,” Monica said via her Twitter account.

With Young Jeezy’s latest album, Thug Motivation 103, just around the corner, the Atlanta rapper has dropped another video. This one's for "Stop Playin Wit Me / My Camaro." Check it out here!

Atlanta's own Monica will sing the National Anthem at Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Boston Tuesday night (June 8). The singer revealed the news via her Twitter account. The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics are tied 1-1 in the best-of-seven series.

At last night's VH1 Hip-Hop Honors to the "Dirty South", Organized Noize, Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, Uncle Luke, Master P and J Prince were treated with tribute performances. In addition to the individual accolades the program was broken down into regional honors as well, with performances paying homage to Atlanta, Miami and Texas.
